Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist/ Receptionist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and ensuring accurate billing processes.
Candidate will also be responsible for receptionist coverage as needed in the office.
Willingness to travel to both locations Orange City and Palm Coast.
Orange City is primary location.
Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits - Obtain and track prior authorizations for medical procedures - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies - Update patient records with insurance information - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies - Collaborate with medical billing and coding teams to facilitate accurate claims processing Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or Dermatology - Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and insurance verification processes - Knowledge of managed care plans and insurance billing procedures - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers - Minimum of 2 years experience of insurance verification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in the medical field.
Dermatology experience is a plus.
